This is a very traditional chai blend using black tea leaves, cardamom, ginger, star anise, allspice, black pepper, clove, and cinnamon. Chai means “tea” in Hindi. So, remember when saying Chai, it is unnecessary to say "Chai Tea", as you would be saying “tea tea”. Allow this blend to rejuvenate the Chakras and soothe the body and mind, bringing you closer to the Divine.
The most preferred way to brew this blend is to add a 1oz package (roughly 4 tablespoons) to a quart of water. Simmer for 20-30 minutes. Strain and add ¼ to ½ cup of honey making a syrup. Bottle and store in the refrigerator for up to 4 weeks, but we doubt it will last that long for it will get used up well before its expiration date. To use the syrup, simply warm your mild of choice, add syrup to taste to your mug, pour warmed milk and enjoy!
Can also be brewed as a normal cup of tea for up to 5 minutes. Just be sure not to steep too long as black tea tends to get bitter if over-brewed.
